Kitchen Deep Cleaning: Professional Techniques
Kitchen CleaningDeep CleaningSanitizationProfessional

The kitchen is the heart of the home, but it can also be a hotspot for grease, grime, and germs. A deep clean goes beyond the daily wipe-down, tackling the hidden and built-up messes to leave your kitchen truly spotless and sanitized. Follow this professional-grade checklist for a top-to-bottom clean.

📋 The Deep Cleaning Checklist

Work from top to bottom to ensure dust and debris fall downwards onto uncleaned surfaces.

1
Top-Down Dusting: Dust light fixtures, the top of your cabinets, and the top of the refrigerator.
2
Degrease Cabinets and Backsplash: Use a good degreaser to wipe down all cabinet faces, handles, and the backsplash area, which is prone to cooking splatters.
3
Clean Appliances: Deep clean the microwave (inside and out), wipe down the stovetop and oven exterior, and clean the refrigerator exterior. For a true deep clean, empty and sanitize the inside of the fridge.
4
Scrub Countertops and Sink: Clear everything off the countertops. Use an appropriate cleaner for your surface (granite, quartz, laminate) and sanitize. Scour the sink and faucet until they shine.
5
Detail Small Appliances: Wipe down your toaster, coffee maker, and other small appliances.
6
Finish with the Floors: Sweep or vacuum the floor thoroughly, then mop with a suitable floor cleaner, getting into all the corners and under the cabinet edges.

🔥 Tackling Tough Jobs

Oven Cleaning

Use your oven's self-cleaning feature or a fume-free oven cleaner. Remove racks and soak them in hot, soapy water.

Sink and Drain

Pour a mixture of baking soda and vinegar down the drain to deodorize it, followed by hot water. Use a toothbrush to scrub around the faucet base.

Refrigerator Coils

Carefully pull your fridge away from the wall and use a vacuum with a brush attachment to clean the dust off the condenser coils on the back or bottom. This improves efficiency.

A deep-cleaned kitchen is a healthier and more enjoyable space. If you don't have the time for a top-to-bottom scrub, contact The Box Advantage Group for professional maintenance services.
